Josh Lynch



Described as one of the most talented Substance Designer users out there, Josh is a senior environment artist with nearly a decade of experience in the video game industry. A skilled environment and prop artist he now works in a material specialist role. Josh has contributed to multiple projects across several platforms. He has a deep understanding of studio pipeline needs with renowned specialties in PBR / BRDF texture pipelines, high and low poly modeling, sculpting, and texturing; creating texture atlas’s that can be shared across multiple assets. Described by his peers as a highly talented texture and lighting artist who has a phenomenal grasp of 3D software, he has worked at some of the world’s leading studios including Monolith Productions, Red Storm Entertainment, Infinity Ward, and Sony Santa Monica. Josh is passionate about teaching and mentoring having presented at Gnomon, GDC, SIGGRAPH and Substance Days and through his own career coaching programs on his Gumroad site.
