Luma was founded in 2002 in Santa Monica, California with the unwavering goal to create compelling art and technology. The studio expanded to Melbourne, Australia in 2012, and together, the visual effects teams have contributed to major blockbuster films like Alien: Covenant, Spider-Man: Homecoming and Thor: Ragnarok; as well as award-winning features like True Grit, No Country for Old Men and Crash.

Luma launched its content creation endeavours several years ago to produce original content in the form of animation, live-action film and new media. Luma’s partners in all spheres of entertainment and technology rely on their team to bring their most complex and artistically challenging ideas to life.

Luma’s VFX team are currently working on Marvel’s Black Panther and Disney’s A Wrinkle in Time.
