Paul Lalo

Paul was born in France and after living in different places around the world, arrived in Australia to study at the Queensland College of Art where he graduated with a Bachelor of Animation with Honours. Since then he had the pleasure of working across the country with various studios and agencies as a freelance director, animator and motion designer on a variety of projects, ranging from TVCs, music videos and documentaries. Paul is also the co-founder of his own boutique animation studio, Soymilk Studio specialising in tactile motion design which he runs together with his partner, Jenni since 2012.

In 2009 Paul founded Ozanimate, an industry showcase website which highlights and showcases all types of animated content coming from down-under. Fast forwarding nearly a decade and thanks to a team of regular contributors and a growing audience spread across the country, Ozanimate has now become the leading source of animation news, resources and inspiration for animation hobbyists, students and professionals both in Australia and New-Zealand.

His passion for animation has naturally led him to teaching the young and old. He has been lecturing at the Griffith Film School for seven years and leading workshops in partnership with the State libraries and primary schools while also teaching online via School of Motion.
